Shekhawati University Sikar has been established in August 2012 by Universities Act, 2012. The University was allotted 30 Acres of land in the beginning to start with on Katrathal, Jhunjhunu Road. Initially University will start Post Graduation courses in the faculty of Social Sciences from the academic session 2014-2015 to cater the need of students in Sikar and nearby districts. Society need based comes will be given top priority.
I have a mission to make this institution equipped with world class laboratories in the faculty of Science and create highest seats of learning in the faculty of Social Science with e-learning. Management courses will be started soon. I have an objective of integrating population of remote area with higher education.
ABOUT THE VICE CHANCELLOR
Dr. Vimlesh Chaudhary did M.Sc. Zoology and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She is a pioneer worker in the field of Municipal Solid Waste Management. She has organized National and State Level Conferences and training programmes. She has attended conferences at National and International level both in the country and abroad including United States of America. She has taught Zoology in Jai Narain Vyas University since 1991. She has served a prestigious institution of Rajasthan, namely Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj & Gramin Vikas Sansthan, Jaipur (SIRD) Government of Rajasthan as Professor for the last 11 years. She has been coordinator of 700 National, State & District level training programmes. Several Projects are in her credit. She has her interest in Watershed Development. She developed several types of training modules for different level of workshop. She wrote and edited many books on different disciples. |
